A BRONX TALE

Washington, D.C. (Date) – A BRONX TALE, the streetwise Broadway musical based on the one-man show and now classic film, will make its Washington, D.C. premiere at the National Theatre for one week only from March 26 through 31, 2019.

Tickets may be purchased at www.TheNationalDC.com, in person at the National Theatre Box Ofice (weekdays from noon to 6:00 PM), or by calling 800-514-3849. The National Theatre is located at 1321 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in downtown Washington, D.C.

Featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, with direction by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, and choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo, A BRONX TALE takes audiences to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s—where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. Featuring an original doo-wop score, this is a tale about respect, loyalty, love, and above all else: family.

The cast, which features 11 alumni from the Broadway production, is led by Joe Barbara (Sonny), Richard H. Blake (Lorenzo), Joey Barreiro (Calogero), Michelle Aravena (Rosina), Brianna-Marie Bell (Jane), Antonio Beverly (Tyrone), Frankie Leoni (Young Calogero), and Shane Pry (Young Calogero Alternate).
